Open Question: How much will an iphone 3g cost?

For x-mas, my dad asked me what I wanted and since we're needy I can basically only receive 1 one thing so I wanted to make it worth while, I chose the new iphone 3g, I know every the features and stuff that arrive with it and every the stuff you can receive for it but the Apple website doesn't say how much it actually cost, does any one out there know how much this phone cost? I know its expensive but how expensive is it?

Open Question: ok, here is the situation. i have an 1st gen unlocked iphone that i use w/ tmobile.i cracked the screen a week?

ago.so, went into an apple store and a very nice guy at the genius bar said he may be able to replace it however it must have an at&t sim card. so, i went home, asked my brother to let me borrow his sim card that he uses with his locked 1st gen iphone w/ at&t. I have been told i can activate his sim with my iphone (in order to show the genius) and then give back his sim card and he can reactivate his possess iphone. My question is, does this extend his contract? will he receive in any trouble if he does this? is this even possible to do? Please let me know! i don't want to do this if it jeopardizes his account in any way. thanks in advance. by the way, i asked a manager at at&t if my brother was able to switch iphones back and forth(of course not telling him exactly why) without extending his contract however i just wanted to ask to look if anyone has been in this situation before. any input is more than appreciated!

Hey guys I`m a total gadget buff but the market for mobile phones has just got massive over the last 5 years, so much so that I`ve totally lost my way. I`ve had an apple iphone about a year ago which totally did me over - I hacked it and used a contract sim, it data roamed and I got charged £160 for 1 months use! After that I totally lost my interest, I just use it now quite simply to make calls. Anyone any suggestions for a cheap mobile phone, nice size (I don`t want a brick!) but the most important thing I want to have a hands free speaker option. One of these that is on speaker, not a portable one for my ear. Years ago I use to have a Samsung with a noisy speaker, so you just clicked a button and it automatically went to hands free without additional hardware. My current sony erricson has the same function but the volume is too low to be useful. Recomendations welcome.

I really want to buy an Apple iPhone 3G... I am already an AT&T customer, but I am not eligible for an upgrade or a contract extension. I don't think you can buy the iPhone outright from AT&T, so I guess I would have to buy one "unlocked" right? I'm considering getting the Samsung Behold for my birthday, but one thing I really need to know is if you can buy/download applications like an iphone? Open Question: When I Connect My iPod To My Computer It Automatically Restarts My Whole Computer?

I have an 8Gb iPod Touch. It use to work fine but then it started playing up.. i got the "connect to itunes" screen on my ipod and i went and got it restored at an apple store. when i brought it home i synced my ipod and it worked fine, then i downloaded the new iphone software for it then i got the "connect to itunes" screen again. i went and got it restored again then when i brought it home i re-synced it. it worked fine again but the next day i went to sync it again and when i plugged in my ipod the computer randomly restarted about 5 seconds later. Lucky i have another computer which i can charge my ipod with. now whenever i connect my ipod to my computer the computer always restarts. ive tried a few things; - turning my ipod off and on - downloaded the latest version of itunes - went to "my computer", right clicked then went into properties, advanced tab, startup and recovery settings, and un-clicked the box that says "automatically restart" when i tried syncing my ipod again i got a blue screen on my computer because i turned off "automatically restart". i got this mistake code if its any help.. "0x0000007E (0x00000005, 0x00000000, 0xFAFAB7C4, 0xFAFAB4CO)" if anyones had this problem before or know how to fix it please let me know and tell me how i fix it because its a real pain not being able to sync anything to my ipod.

Open Question: How do I completely restore my iPhone 3G?

I used QuickPwn/PwnageTool to jailbreak/unlock it. When I finished doing that, I got the little pineapple logo (instead of the apple) when I turned on my iPhone... and I thought that was a good sign. However, it hasn't changed at every. It's just the pineapple logo. How do I restore my iPhone completely? I've plugged it into my Mac, but it doesn't show up on iTunes. I just have the pineapple logo, then a loading circle. After awhile, the screen blanks out and does the same thing over and over again until the battery expires.

I really miss those days when you bought an ipod or phone and you could simply use it without any stupid registrations and useless accounts.I just bought a new i phone and im starting to hate the way it works.Don't missunderstand ,i am an apple fan but this one really freaks me out. First of every it has its stupid dictionary only for english of course and guess what can't turn it off (any simple cheap phone can do that)but not the i phone.Exept with some special software.But i can't buy the software because i am from romania and i tunes does not accept credit cards from romania.I have 3 credit cards one master card in EURO and 2 visa cards in RON.Guess what none of them were accepted ,and yes i have money on them. So let me receive this straight i cant turn the dictionary off cause i live in romania?And olny people from america who talk english anyway can turn it off and others who dont use it in english(need the dictionary off) dont have the right to modify nothing nore installing applications? What should i do with my i phone?Watch videos on youtube?That's every? +i can put a new tune on my phone only if i erase the whole library +and even if i copy my music on the phone,I can't copy it back to my computer?thats what i've payed money for? For me this is some nice of discrimination and it makes me feel like someone is making fun out of me. Open Question: Is AT&T's network really as bad as people say it is?

My contracts ending in a few months and I've been looking at the latest devices to pick from when my contract ends. I'm at a match between the Verizon RIM Blackberry Storm and the AT&T Apple iPhone. I've used both devices, and even though the iPhone lacks some of the most basic features such as: flash, video recording, and MMS (though u can work around this with its email app) which my phone from 5 years ago can do; the iPhone is still the winner cause of the whole UI, browser, Apple product integration, and he "WOW" factor. But the one thing holding me back from rushing out right now and getting it is I've heard that AT&T's network, well...sucks...a lot. I live in the suburbs of Chicago, still a VERY metropolitan area. In the AT&T coverage map it shows BEST COVERAGE and GOOD COVERAGE everywhere in my area. also 3G is everywhere in my are (at least that is what the map shows). I've done some research and some people say Chicago is one of AT&T's WEAK SPOTS, even though by me judging from the coverage map, its probably one of the best with the most 3G COVERAGE. Then other people say AT&T is the best they've ever had. I know Verizon's network probably beats AT&T's but I just want ot know if AT&T's network is reliable and works well. Please share any and every information you are willing that might help me make my choice a little clearer. A big help would be to tell me your experiences with AT&T and tell what part of the US u live in. A bigger help would be if you are from the Chicago land area. Open Question: Iphone earpice crackles when i'm on the phone?

This just started happening last night. My phone has been having other problems as well...not major ones but still. If i smack the phone against the palm of my hand, it will cease crackling for a few seconds. Any ideas? Or should I just take it to the Apple store & look what they can do?? Its not the headphones.
